HomeKeep started because I got tired of waiting three days for a cleaning company to call me back. By then I didn't need them anymore. So I built the thing I wished existed.
Booking a house clean in Vancouver used to take forever. I'd fill out a form, leave a voicemail, send a follow-up email, and then hear back three days later, usually after the moment had already passed.
Some cleans don't need any back-and-forth. The place is a mess, guests show up tomorrow, you just want it handled. Other times the clean is genuinely urgent: move-out is in the morning, a leak turned a small problem into a big one, or a baby is coming home from the hospital next week and the house needs to be ready.
None of those situations are improved by sitting on hold or waiting for someone to email back a quote. So I stopped trying to fix the old way and built something different.
Three things we wouldn't compromise on. Everything else is built around them.
Starting prices include tax, no quotes to chase. You see the total before you book and a real person is scheduled, not a callback promise.
Every cleaner on the platform is insured and background-checked through the RCMP. We pay them fairly and treat their safety as non-negotiable, see the provider-safety clause in our terms.
Before-and-after photos land in your inbox automatically when the cleaner finishes. You don't have to be home, and you don't have to wonder what got done.
HomeKeep is a Metro Vancouver operation. We're founder-led and we book real cleans for real homes across the city, from Kitsilano apartments to Burnaby townhouses to North Shore family homes.
We're not trying to be a national platform. We're trying to be the company that picks up the phone, figuratively speaking, since the whole point is you don't have to call anyone, when a Vancouver homeowner needs their place cleaned this week, not next week.
