How We Vet Every Provider in Our Network
Mike Chen2025-02-104 min
When you hand someone the keys to your home, trust isn't optional — it's everything. That's why we built one of the most rigorous provider vetting processes in the industry.
Our 7-Step Vetting Process
- Business License Verification — Every provider must hold a valid municipal business license and be registered in BC.
- Insurance Verification — We require minimum $2M commercial general liability insurance, verified directly with the insurer.
- Criminal Background Check — Every technician undergoes a criminal background check through a certified screening agency.
- Trade Certification — For specialized work (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), we verify trade certifications and Red Seal qualifications.
- Reference Checks — We contact 3+ previous clients or employers for every provider.
- Ride-Along Assessment — Before their first solo HomeKeep job, every new provider completes a ride-along with our Provider Network Lead.
- Ongoing Quality Monitoring — We review every job through homeowner feedback, completion photos, and random quality audits.
What Happens If Standards Slip?
Simple: we address it immediately. Every homeowner rates their service visit. Anything below 4 stars triggers a review, a follow-up visit at no cost, and a conversation with the provider. Repeated issues result in removal from our network.
